The WRRC ‘Ohana is happy to announce Dr. Zhiyue Wang's joint appointment with WRRC and Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering. A postdoctoral associate from the BioTechnology Institute at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Wang's research focuses on environmental biotechnologies for biological nutrient removal, contaminant remediation, and resource recovery from municipal wastewater. He's looking for engineering solutions to replace cesspools in Hawai‘i with cost-effective and self-sustaining decentralized treatment systems.
