WRRC was one of many outstanding University of Hawai‘i Mānoa (UHM) departments participating in Research Day at the Hawai‘i State Capitol on February 7, 2023. UHM Scientist, and undergraduate and graduate students, had the unique opportunity to interact and bring awareness to their research with Hawai‘i’s legislative group and state officials.
WRRC team members for both the Hawai‘i Climate Data Portal and Hawai‘i Mesonet projects were present to share information about their work across the state. These projects will help to improve the quality of weather and climate monitoring to support applications such as forecasting, resource management, and disaster mitigation using cutting edge data science innovations and technology.
