DWS shared a number of updates with the hundreds of community members who showed up at the Kula Community Center tonight.
- DWS estimates the advisory may last for about 2 more weeks, depending on sample results. Homes in fire damaged areas may be on the advisory for longer.
- DWS continues to take frequent water samples, the turn around time is about a week for results. They will be expanding the testing suite to also look for metals, nitrates, and additional VOCs.
- DWS is considering adjusting water bills to compensate for the disruptions in service. Burned properties will not receive water bills.
- A number of other questions were answered at the meeting please see our FAQ section for many of those answers.
