Congratulations to WRRC Affiliate Faculty member Dr. Clifford Voss (USGS Emeritus Scientist) as the recipient of the 2023 Geological Society of America (GSA) Hydrogeology’s “George B. Maxey Distinguished Service Award.” First established in 1984, this prestigious annual award recognizes outstanding service within the hydrogeology profession and specifically in the GSA Hydrogeology Division. His expertise covers a vast array of topics and studies around the world, including hydrology, groundwater modeling, saltwater intrusion, mathematical modeling, contamination and pollution, water supply and demand, cold regions and permafrost hydrology, and nuclear waste isolation. On behalf of the WRRC ‘Ohana, we are pleased that Dr. Voss was honored with this award for his distinguished career spanning over 40 years of achievements.
