Dr. Viviani's research background is in primary production, biogeochemistry, and oceanographic time-series. His current interests include effective geoscience education, estuarine zooplankton ecology, and coastal time-series. Currently, he and his undergraduate students are collaborating with NOAA and HIMB students to examine zooplankton diversity in archived samples and taking time-series measurements in the West Loch of Pu‘uloa (Pearl Harbor).
