The WRRC ‘Ohana is happy to announce Dr. Xiaolong "Leo" Geng’s joint appointment with WRRC and Department of Earth Sciences. A physical scientist from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Dr. Geng’s research focuses on field monitoring and numerical modeling of coastal subsurface flow and transport processes. His research goal is to develop a comprehensive and quantitative understanding of coastal groundwater dynamics that govern various biogeochemical processes, as well as contaminant fate and transport in nearshore aquifers.
