Dr. Abby Frazier is a climatologist who studies the spatiotemporal dynamics and impacts of climate change and climate variability. Her research uses geospatial analysis to integrate diverse datasets, including models and observations, to understand the mutli-disciplinary impacts of climate on freshwater resources and ecosystems over regional and global scales, with a focus on Pacific Islands. She is interested in climate extremes, particularly the impacts of drought and the El Niño-Southern Oscillation on local hydrology and wildfire regimes. She collaborates closely with stakeholders to co-produce actionable science to support climate change decision making and natural resource management.
Dr. Frazier is currently an Assistant Professor of Geography at Clark University, and an Adjunct Fellow at the East-West Center. Dr. Frazier is also the Chapter Lead for the Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5) Hawai‘i and U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands chapter.
