Are County water systems contaminated? 

It is important to know that the Do-Not-Drink Advisories have been issued out of an abundance of caution. To our knowledge, there have been no confirmed findings of wildfire-sourced contamination within the county water systems. With that said, this is because the water testing needed to detect contamination has only recently gotten underway. Therefore it is important to continue to heed the DWS advisories to keep ourselves and our neighbors safe during this time of uncertainty. DWS knows their system well, and has issued advisories covering all areas that have any possible chance of contamination. Areas not under the notice are not connected to affected parts of the water system, and therefore should be safe from contamination.
